Lion Funeral Statue

Sketched on-site at the National Museum: Masterpieces from Louvre. It was a bit hard to see since the lighting was quite dim and I was straining my eyes. I had to take this using a camera instead of scanning it because it was too cumbersome and large for my scanner. (The ghostly image on the top right is actually a study of the hind limb but it had shown through the paper.)
