Take.Flight was meant to be a major papercut, but I realised that the design was not suitable due to its negative/positive spaces. (Designs within the pheonix could not be seen) So here it is, the inked version of Take.Flight. Enjoy! (:

  1. All the phoenix aren’t exactly connected right?

Did you design this yourself? Great, detailed work there ^^

  2. Xin Yan!

really really like this work. especially the way the phoenix like links together as it takes flight.
i like the first image of the phoenix the most, when its about to take flight, coz the way the phoenix is drawn makes me get the feeling that its realling going to take off from the ground. you know, that king of feeling.
its kinda sad that it can’t be made into a paper cut though, coz it would be really amazing. maybe u can alter the positive and negative spaces a little so it can be made into a paper cut? i’m not sure if its possible, but u can try.

oh! and i think that the names u give your artworks are really appropriate and cool. like the name of this piece, “take flight” leaves a great impact on me. as in like in the name itself i can see the artwork. haha! don’t think i’m making much sense here.

P.S. don’t forget to upload your dragon skeleton paper cut!! i really love that one too! 🙂
