I’ve been starting to go nuts about papercutting recently! This is something I tried out after seeing Hui Kin’s work. It is a pheonix rising from the paper!

  1. Hi Xinyan I see that you have made something nice… (AGAIN!) and it’s with PAPER!
Bleugh this pheonix is so nice I hate it! I would tear it but then I think it will claw my eyes out and poke me with all its pointy feathers should I even attempt to do so….. ))):

(haha you know i am just kidding right. awesome job! but i am still sulking)

  2. It’s nice! Really cool!

Also, it’s kinda funny. As in, since pheonix are fictional characters from books (paper), and now it’s rising from the paper. If you get what I mean. I’m not good in articulation. Obviously. Haha..

  3. Wow! You are a very talented young lady. I have enjoyed looking at all the work you have on your blog, but the phoenix is my favourite, very clever…rising from the paper!

I look forward to showing your fantastic work to my students.

  4. Thank you for taking your time, Mrs Johnston! I really appreciate it! (:
