This was done in the hospital ward early last year as a gift to my specialist, Prof Yap. Done with Faber Castell colour pencils. Please excuse the poor quality. It was taken with a shaky hand! ):

Hi xinyan!
This bird is really realistic ๐ love the textures of the feathers created by the colour pencils, I can never do such a technically demanding colour pencil drawing, haha. ๐

I think you have obviously taken very well to the e-portfolio. I can sense that the image you referred to might not have featured the feet.
If you wish to achieve a greater density with ‘wax-based’ colour pencils, consider using ‘ronsonol’ (lighter) fluid as a medium, brushing it on like watercolour pencils.
I do think that the sensitivity is fantastic, and would be even more amazing if the ‘white surface of the paper’ wasn’t showing through.

Thanks for the comments!
Mr Lim: Yes, indeed I wasn’t happy with the saturation of the feet! Is ronsonal something like a petroleum fuel? I have never used it before though.
