April 12, 2009 at 8:24 pm | In Animals, Drawings, Sketches | 1 CommentMr Tan said I can’t post coursework stuff next year, so here’s your chance to check out all my ILP drawings and stuff before everything goes private and confidential! Here’s another bald eagle pencil drawing from a copy of the Encyclopaedia of Birds in the school library. Check out the textures!
:D:D
p.s. sorry the scanner picked up the skull and eagle head sketch behind LOL!
Winged Fox in Pencil
March 25, 2009 at 10:04 pm | In Doodles, Drawings, Sketches | 4 CommentsA random winged fox I drew at school.. I didn’t bother to increase the shading since I’m already working on something else. But I really like the smoothness of the toning this time round. I didn’t like Chengkor describing it as “Neopet-ish”.. >:/
By the way, I’m currently converting this into a papercut design.

February 8, 2009 at 6:57 pm | In Development, Drawings, Sketches | Leave a CommentFinally a new update to push that hideous rendition of a personified Friendlie down one post. I unwisely self-promoted my ARTBlog link in ISP (Intelligent School Portal) so now I’ve got more viewers coming in… And unfortunately they will be greeted by a very weird looking Fu Wa that will bring back no delightful déjà vu of 2008 whatsoever. And so.. I figured I must make haste on my next post, so here it is!
The first of my series of 1.5 paintings! I went with Leny to Art Friend to window-shop, and picked up two $1.50 canvases on the way. So now you know why they’re called “1.5 paintings”. Something struck me to draw a hummingbird last night, so I did. Here’s the sketch on the canvas which will soon (hopefully) be given a fresh, colourful coat of paint.
And so… visitors will now be greeted by an unpolished doodle of a hummingbird in mid-air!
EDIT: Thanks to Leny for pointing out the flower’s odd proportions! (: Keep the comments coming!

Singapore Art Museum is exhibiting works of Xu Beihong called “Xu Beihong in Nanyang” from 5 April to 17 August 2008. I especially like his Chinese Ink Paintings of Horses, and here are some quick sketches from my visit to SAM with Leny and Jing Ying. They were orginally monochrome (done in black marker pen), but I added just a tint of colour for variation. XP

Sneak Preview: Skeleton Draft of Original Mythical Creature

I finally created and designed my very own original mythological creature! I tried taking pictures of it (Because my scanner is down) but it didn’t come out right. So here is the uncompleted sneak peak of its skeleton to tide you over! It’s anatomically incorrect, but I’m quite proud of it already since it’s my first and original design!! =D
